6-time Olympic cycling champion has announced his retirement and explained his decision.

Britain’s most decorated Olympian Sir Chris Hoy, 37, told David Bond, BBC Sports Editor why he’s quitting from cycling competition and that he didn’t have any more to give was his reason. He was expected to see action at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow but reasoned out “to go on for another year would be one too far”.

He feels that he retires from cycling in great health. Britain future in cycling is bright he said Hoy bequeaths his titular mantle to Jason Francis Kenny, 25, a fast rising British Olympic cycling star

He is happily married to Sarra Kemp, a lawyer on April 17, 2010 but childless. They reside in Salford, Greater Manhatan.
