Video below: Fake bishop Ralph Napierski (left) in bishop attire posed with Cardinal Sergio Sebiastiana (center) as the cardinal arrived for talks ahead of a conclave to elect a new pope.
Clad in robes like a bishop, a man was whisked out of the conference room by Swiss guards on Monday while attending a closed-door Vatican meeting.
The man said to reporters he was “Basilius” and member of the “Italian Orthodox Church”.
With a purple scarf around the waist and looking like a senior Catholic Cardinal, he kept shaking hands and chatted with cardinals arriving at the meeting.
He claims to have founded the “Corpus Dei Catholic Order” and invented something that “enable persons to control computers with the power of thoughts”.
He also promotes “Jesus Yoga”.
He briefed reporters that Catholic bishops are wrong in moving priests accused of paedophilia around different parishes.
The man who disguised himself as a bishop was in fact RALPH NAPIERSKI, a German-born Italian man. He invented the name Basilius and the Italian Orthodox Church which he claims he is a member is non-existing. His Corpus Dei Catholic Order is likewise fake. He’s also a known computer hacker. He was able to bypass tight security checkpoints.
His real person was identified by an Italian news agency as Ralph Napierski.
His picture is here.
